Kennesaw State University psychology major Olivia Lauzon has been selected to present her research to members of Congress, their staffs and other federal officials in Washington, D.C., during the 22nd Annual “Posters on the Hill” competition. It is the first time a KSU student has presented at the Capitol Hill event.

Kennesaw State University is being represented by nearly 100 students this week at the 2018 National Conference on Undergraduate Research (NCUR) in Edmond, Oklahoma. More than 4,000 students from 400 colleges and universities are presenting their research April 4-7 at the prestigious annual conference. With 93 students attending, Kennesaw State's number of participants is second only to the host institution, the University of Central Oklahoma.

As part of its official opening last week, Kennesaw State University's School of Conflict Management, Peacebuilding and Development (SCMPD) expanded its reach with the signing of two memoranda of understanding that will widen the scope of its conflict resolution education and provide mediation training throughout Mexico.

Retired Professor Emeritus of Psychology and former KSU administrator Linda Noble has returned to Kennesaw State as part of the University’s presidential transition. Noble has joined the Office of Academic Affairs in a part-time role to assist Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Ken Harmon as he transitions into the role of interim president. Noble will then serve as interim provost when Harmon becomes KSU’s interim president on Feb. 15.

Today, Kennesaw State University (KSU) President Sam Olens has announced he will step down as president effective Feb. 15, 2018. Olens has served as president since Nov. 1, 2016.

Kennesaw State University is among a select group of 24 colleges and universities that scored an “A” for its high-quality core curriculum in a nationwide study on the state of general education released this week by the American Council of Trustees and Alumni (ACTA).

Samuel S. Olens will be formally vested as the fourth president of Kennesaw State University on October 19. The Campus community is invited to the Investiture Ceremony at the Convocation Center followed by an Investiture Celebration on the Campus Green.
